"On arrival there was road works outside the hotel which we were unaware of. I had messaged to ask where to park but got no answer. The parking is payable across the road and behind some houses. The hotel building is very old and the bar area is quite nice. The two young lads on the bar were very nice and friendly. The room we had was in need of decoration and updating, not in good shape. We had drinking facilities provided but I’d advise take your own as the ones given were to certain tastes....

"Paid just under £200 for 2 nights accommodation. The room was of poor standard and not very well cleaned or maintained. Stains on the carpet, the tiles in the bathroom are cracked so made it unsafe to walk bare foot. The shower wasnt very warm and the spray went everywhere but me. "Nice comfy bed in a big room. There was a fan supplied (a necessity during the heatwave especially during the night). Staff were always polite and helpful. Breakfast was different every day ( I think it depended on who cooked it) but was nice - it’s just a pity ham and cheese and different fruit were not offered but as I said breakfast was nice."
