"Bij aankomst twijfelden we een beetje, zoals heel veel huizen in Schotland is de buitenkant niet wat je binnen aantreft, wij hadden een top(familie)kamer boven in het hotel met een heerlijk bed, een zitje, een ruime badkamer (douche is niet voor hele grote mensen overigens, laag plafond) en nog een extra kamer met 3 bedden. Uitzicht op het Loch, zeer behulpzame en vriendelijke hotelmanager, echt top. Dus de tip is, ga vooral niet op de buitenkant af, binnen tref je vaak iets bijzonders aan en...

"The property was so dirty hairs on the bed before we got in there tears in the pillows, mold all over the tubs and shower walls and floor. The stairway was super grubby. There was a brown red smudge on the wall in the bathroom with the staff was very nice and friendly, but tried to grab a manager to get a refund and no one was available. Emailed nobody is available called. Nobody was available. I don’t see us getting a refund even for the night we didn’t stay. We are allergic to mold and mildew....
"Great location and clean. More spacious than many places in Scotland for hotel stays.
However, breakfast is very expensive for what you get and I did have a broken shower drain that caused a bit of bathroom flooding, however they said it would be fixed before the next guest used the room."
"We had a great time for the night we stayed here. I was unaware that we had to schedule a tour of the distillery. The only complaint I really had was the shower was a little small, but that seems to be a theme around there. The bartender has a wealth of knowledge about gin, whiskey and probably everything else. Bonus for a hot breakfast being included. 10 of 10 would stay again."

"Really nice room although main hotel a little dated. Especially carpets in main hallways coming away from the floor and a bit of a trip hazard. Overall can’t fault the room, clearly had been modernised and was comfy, bed a little hard but would happily return"

Rooms were small, but very functional-and was easy to hold our luggage from our two week long trip in Scotland.
The food and the restaurant were absolutely delicious and the staff were very attentive!
We actually canceled our second night at another restaurant and chose to stay and eat again in the hotels restaurant.
There wasn’t any air-conditioning or elevator, but a good fan in the room kept us cool and the stairs were manageable.

"This was our favourite stay along the WHW. Although a short walk off the trail it is well worth it. This hotel combines the best of old hotel charm and modern amenities. Everything was so clean and the staff were lovely. The breakfast which is included was outstanding. The price was reasonable and it was nice that it is located in a town where u can grab a few amenities if needed."
