"The hotel is very old and has lost the luster of past centuries. There are minimal amenities and the garage is a nightmare to negotiate when full. My room was very basic like an old dorm room but ok for the price. There was no hairdryer. The hotel is in a prime location and convenient for walking about the town."
"A terrible stay room was dirty along with the bedding freezing cold the view from the balcony was of the rear carpark and the fuel supply no phone in the the room lights were damaged lack of bedding the smell in the room in the morning was unbearableand as for the staff we didn't see any absolute disgrace never would stay there again"
"Convenient location, outstanding customer service including the night staff because I had an early checkout. Everyone was helpful and friendly. I will definitely revisit when in the region . Rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable."
"First impressions when i parked up and looked at the building was that it looked tired and in need of some tlc, when entering the reception area it was immaculately clean and bright with welcoming friendly helpful staff. "Reception staff fairly friendly bar staff not so we waited over 10 mins for a member of staff no show so I went to reception we’re both the reception lady and the lady from the bar were just casually chatting and no apology for keeping us waiting"
"The property is unique stairs are narrow but there is a lift. Breakfasts are good but what a performance to pay for them.Breakfasts should be included in price like most establishments.Nice touch to offer a free drink in exchange for not servicing room."
"An old building with historic interest situated in a town with many interesting old building which is well worth a walk around.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meals and Sunday carvery were tasty and specials were explained.
A thing to note is that there is no lift so mobility needs to be good to walk up stairs which was not a problem for us.
Enjoyed our stay here and will be back next year as still much more to explore in the ares"
"The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained; dinner and Sunday lunch were excellent; breakfast was spectacular. All the staff were efficient and friendly. Thank you."
