"This is a lovely Pub in the heart of Old Basingstoke. A trifle awkward to get into by car, but plenty of parking once we'd managed it! Friendly and helpful staff. A good breakfast."

"We came for a family night away to celebrate a birthday and we really found the hotel to be relaxed and friendly from the minute we got there. Our room was clean and within minutes of checking in staff came in with a basket and bowls for our dog. We had a few drinks in the bar area that evening which was busy due to football but a great atmosphere. The breakfast was lovely and the choice was great. We used the gym and spa and found the staff in the golf shop all to be extremely friendly...

"For a solo traveller, if you need a clean and safe place to stay overnight, this place is sufficient. Room is tiny and one person could barely turn around. Bathroom and ac will be the amenities provided. Checkout was 10am so I barely could sleep in, also I heard clearly and constantly that neighbours’ doors were closed. Parking is at the back and a short walk to Thames river and train station. Staffs were friendly. Anyway you paid for what you got."

"This is the 2nd time I've stayed here at The Raven and it certainly won't be the last. The staff are all fantastic, friendly, helpful, and even though they are all busy they are all really cheerful and take time to interact with you. Yes, admittedly the rooms look a little tired and dated, but they are clean, have everything you need and more importantly I sleep like a log here as the bedding is lovely and the beds extremely comfortable.
