"In general, very good. But two specific issue.
Breakfast had more issues than anticipated: 10 deep at the toaster was an issue, maybe purchase a heavy duty one?; on a busy morning seems to have been no anticipation running out of eggs at 7:30 doesn't work for us and two thirds of the breakfast 2 hours had limited food..
We had a handicap room. It would be nice to actually have a chair in the room. The single rolling chair at the desk was pathetic, another easy chair would make the room...
"Our first impression at the helpfulness of front desk created a feeling of a true welcome. We were greeted by Mo who went above and beyond to ensure our room was comfortable. He also gave us excellent details on the attractions and sights to see in town during our stay. This helped us tremendously to e experience what the town had to offer."
"A little dated, the restaurant was good, doing some hotel renovation when we were there but was not noisy. Many other entities use hotel property as a base, Ontario northland bus stop and muskoka cruise boat port. Not a bad place for the price."
"Staff was friendly and building was recently renovated. The renovations were done quickly. The bathroom tiles were loose and grout broken. Shower had mold. Overall ok and good price, but could use a bit better upgrades."
"Once you got past the stench of mold in the entry way, and got into your room you found the left over week old newspaper that was missed when the room was cleaned and the broken window in the bathroom. It's an older quaint building, so a bit louder than normal, but it also hasn't seen the level of maintenance you would expect - beyond the smell of mold and broken window, 2 drywall seams were also open floor to ceiling.
On the positive side, Sam from the front desk was helpful after you...
"Absolutely. I’d make that the standout part of the review because it really shows the level of service:
We had such a wonderful stay at Stay Inn Muskoka this past weekend! From the moment we arrived, the service was amazing. A special thank you to Jonathan at reception, who was so welcoming, helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Ingrid, the cleaner, also deserves a huge shoutout. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained.
The service honestly went above and beyond. We simply...
"Acceptable value for peak fall foliage season ($230/night for 2 Queen beds). Check-in and check-out were smooth, and parking right outside was very convenient. The room is small but clean with comfortable beds and an updated bathroom. The shower faucet handle was quite difficult to turn on/off, but the staff was helpful and showed us how to manage it. Standard, decent stay. Suggestion for the hotel: offering room slippers would be a great upgrade!"
"The room was disgusting. We are not picky, but mould cigarettes and an unstable floor to say the least are a whole other level! The person at the desk moved us to another room which wasn't as bad, but no other room than the horror show was available for our second night and they wouldn't refund even a portion of the money. DO NOT RECOMMEND"
"Not clean although the bedding smelled & looked ok….just over half a roll of toilet paper….. person in office had no idea what to do & stated that owner was called out of country on an emergency….. he gave us the key to a room & stated to have a good night….. we slept ok with no bug bites by morning….4 stations on TV 2 of which were BC news stations… 1 station sports & the latter was aptn aboriginal people television network….. there were notices on the office door from the fire department and...
