"The price we paid for the room did not reflect the quality of the accommodation. The nightly rate was extremely high for what was provided.
As I work in IT, being reachable 24/7 is essential. One of the reasons we chose this accommodation was the advertised free Wi-Fi; however, it did not work from the time I checked in. I spoke with the guest in the room next to mine, and they confirmed they were experiencing the same issue.

"Wish we had read the reviews. We probably wouldn't have booked. Definitely not value for money. No real amenities, not even a bar of soap in our ensuite room. No tv, pretty much a bed and towels. Water was lukewarm in shower and we were worried it was going to flood until hubby used his foot as a plunger for drain . Pub music only played till 11pm thank goodness."
"Our room was clean and compact. We were late arriving so the heat pump had been put on warm the room for our arrival. There was a large powerful microwave which was great to heat our late supermarket meal. Nice big comfortable bed with comfy pillows. We were given a generous amount of milk in glass bottles which was appreciated. Great room for our short stay 👌"
"From the start, the communication with Liz was very prompt and clear. All I needed to know was provided to us. The chalet was clean and the bathrooms are modern.
We did not feel rushing on check out during our final day which added value to the whole experience. Shame the next New Zealand Dragon Boat Nationals will be held elsewhere next year, otherwise, I would have booked again. Maybe for some other trip down in Karapiro. Awesome service, Liz and team!"
"The facility had mould behind the curtains, was dated and dirty. There were toys over the driveway, empty alcohol boxes and we ended up not being able to stay because of the state of the room. We were charged over $400 for the one night and was told we have to go to Expedia to get a refund. Very disappointed! "
"Really disappointed with finding rubbish from previous tenants on balcony, possibly from more than a week, also the photos depicting the lawn area on site are misleading as the lawn area is very small and you think the place is in the country but it is not. My daughter had to clean the dishwasher and sink incinerator as it smelt really bad, for what I paid for the accommodation one would expect it to be clean. Also wooden walk area to the very small back yard is rotten, and the gate does not...
