"Bedbugs in Room 212 — unacceptable
During our stay at the King’s Arms Hotel, we personally found bedbugs in Room 212 and immediately brought them to the attention of a member of staff.
This is a serious hygiene and accommodation issue. As we were travelling, the incident also meant taking additional precautions with our luggage and clothing to prevent potentially bringing bedbugs home.
Guests should be able to expect a clean, safe, and properly maintained room. Finding bedbugs in our room fell...
"Richard was very helpful . The hotel is 150 + years old as it was the railway hotel right next to the train station. It has a restaurant/ lounge that serves food and the breakfast was very good. There is very little available in the immediate area. Lochcarron is about 2+ miles away."
"Lovely cosy cottage called “The Wee Cottage”. It was not so “wee” and was exactly as described with a direct view on the harbour. Perfect spot to do our Skye tour and then conveniently leave east the next morning!"
"Die Unterkunft war zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Besonders der Seeblick hat uns gefallen. Die Unterkunft war sauber. Allerdings war das Bett etwas durchgelegen und die Unterkunft hellhörig. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat für uns nicht zu 100% gepasst, was allerdings auch an den Zimmerpreisen auf der gesamten Insel liegen kann, der etwas höherpreisig ist"
"The cabin was a lovely tranquil space. Away from the hubbub of Portree and all on its own.
It was so peaceful looking over the water with a horse and sheep as the immediate neighbours.
I didn't manage to work the induction hob but was able to use the oven just fine.
The hot tub was a rare treat too. It took a bit to figure it out but nothing a wee Youtube video couldnt fix. "
"From the moment we approached the driveway I was taken aback. There’s a large pile of old tires at the bottom of the drive. The drive is several hundred feet long and very rutted and muddy. It badly needs to be regraveled, as does the parking area.
The picture of the house on the listing is many years old, and it needs paint badly now. I know it’s a wet environment, but it’s not well maintained.
Inside is not real clean. There’s a lot of mold, and a lot of basic repairs need to be done....
"We loved our stay here! Murdo and his son Scott are amazing hosts and serve absolutely incredible food. We will stay here each time we come back - truly a special place!"
