"I liked the sea view. I liked the friendliness of the staff and that they listened to my requests. However my room was too small. The TV plug only just reached the wall socket. The kettle and bedside light had to sit on the floor because I couldn't plug them in otherwise. There was no bedside table. My room was not made up between the first and second nights. My toilet seat snapped off and was unusable. There was not much choice at breakfast, marmalade and only one choice of cereal."

"I have stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions and do so because I have confidence that it will be clean and well maintained. This is in contrast to a number of occasions where I have experienced disappointment when staying at other hotels. The general amenity of the Gateway is extremely pleasant and the staff have managed a relaxing and comfortable public area."

"We tavelled to the Copper Kettle by bicycle Lovely landlady. Very helpful and let us put our bikes in the shed. She really made us feel welcome. The B&B is in a very old property and there are lots of quirky, odd angles and walls but even so the property looked tired and could do with redecorating. The shower in our room had a kinked hose and the shower head wouldn't stay in its holder so we had to use it hand held. The beds were odd sizes too and my mattress was lumpy. The hotel was well...

"A lovely pub with a stunning beer garden and direct access to the canal path for walks to Carnforth Morecambe and Lancaster. Only issue was the heat in the room which I appreciate it was unusually hot but room 3 also has a large noisy extractor fan outside the window so it was either heat or noise. The fan does get turned off at night. Would still stay again and the food was excellent."

"Considering the price, the apartment was ok. There is an air fryer, kettle and toaster. Washing up is a challenge in the small sink in the bathroom. Filling the kettle is difficult as it doesn't fit under the tap in the bathroom! The bed was ok, but you can feel the springs. The TV didn't work as the aerial lead was damaged. The hair drier was dangerous as it was full of dust and smelt of burning. The views over the bay were spectacular. Ok for a couple of nights, no longer though."
