"Had a wonderful nights stay at the River Hotel on a girls trip with a friend. Our twin room was clean, well kept and a great size with nice decor. We had a great little TV, ample power sockets, tea and coffee facilities and everything else we could possibly need. Nice spacious bathroom with shower gel, shampoo etc already supplied. Parking on site was great considering how difficult it is to find in central Oxford. The hotel was happy for us to keep our car parked there for the day after we...

"The hotel is definetely a bit shabby and down-at-heel, but it is clean and the staff friendly. Although it was a shared bathroom this was not a problem. The shower was surprisingly strong and as hot as i needed. The room was small but the matress on the bed was very comfortable. If you're happy with cheap but clean then I'd recommend it. I'd stay again"

Our ground floor room had a lovely open outlook over fields. Large bathroom. We had dinner in the restaurant which we really enjoyed although the hotel was very quiet.
