"We booked the hotel for seven nights. Upon arrival will the manager took us to the room that he assigned to us that was not in the building where we checked in but an outhouse. The house looked tumble down and he walked us up about 50 winding narrow stairs to what looked like an attic or a crows nest. The room had two single beds and had only room for the beds and had a small window in between with a ram shackle, drape and no air-conditioning. It was horrendous! I told him that we were not going...

"The property was on a quiet street but near a main road with restaurants, a Tesco and a Boots nearby. Our room was renovated with a beautiful bathroom with monogrammed towels and bedding. The doors were activated by a key code given at check-in. Staff were very helpful and we had a wonderful three night stay."

It uses a self check-in feature with no available staff yet response time online was swift and helpful. All in all a nice option from the typical hotel experience….."

The breakfasts certainly set you up for the day, they were well presented and freshly cooked and came to the table hot, which was bonus. For anyone going to Oxford, we would highly recommend a stay at the River Hotel and very reasonably priced. Thanks for comfortable stay."

"The room was clean and comfortable, and the lake view was beautiful. The onsite pub and restaurant had just closed down , which meant a walk alongside the lake which was only a few minutes, to the pub restaurant next to a Premier inn. There was a lot of activity on the lake when we arrived and other activities advertised on site. This was only a stopover for us but was pleasant "
