"We loved this place! It was clean, simple and really perfect for a stay in Lucerne. Breakfast was great and dinner option (extra) was really good! Common areas were excellent and comfortable. Was not too crowded in early October. We had a private room with private bathroom and the beds/pillows were amazing. Probably some of the best beds we had on a 2-week European trip. The room did not have a/c so in the summer, that might not be comfortable. We had a table lamp in our room but no outlets...
"Superfreundliche Chefin.
"Great stay at Hotel Engel!
I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Engel. The staff were incredibly helpful with all of my questions, the room was cleaned thoroughly every single day, and the surrounding view outside the hotel was absolutely incredible. I also loved the breakfast, which had plenty of variety every morning. Plus, the convenience is unbeatable since the bus station is just across the hotel. Highly recommended!"
"Checking in was easy and staff were accommodating. Our room was big with big balcony facing the pool though we are on the upper level which is nice. Outlets were abundant. Location was great, not too far from the train station but not near on busy area."
"The room was small but very clean and newly renovated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. View is incredible. The only downfall is this hotel is not easy to get to unless you have a vehicle. It is a very steep climb to walk with your luggage from the train station."
"This was a self-check-in facility. The directions for check in were thorough, but there was not another person anywhere nearby. The shower curtain had mold all along the bottom, so did not want to use the facility. We were pleasantly surprised to find there were others there in the morning for breakfast, which was nice. We were happy to have lodging for the night, but the price point for the room was high. I would prefer finding another place in the future."
"Very friendly staff. Nice little room with a mountain view (I believe on both sides of the Hotel) breakfast was nice. Had Dinner the night before, the Cordon Bleu delicious."
