"Despite being above a very busy pub restaurant the room had no transmitted noise.It was very hot and the window opened directly onto the extractors for the kitchen which were very noisy.Eventually the extractors were turned off 11.30pm but switched on again at 6am.Good arrangements to access with dog out of hours.Shower and room decor very good.Reasonable place for one night with dog but not sure I would want a longer stay.Food in the restaurant looked very good."

"Perfect location, a minute from the castle, easy walking distance to the train station, cross the street to be on the high street and the town center.
All ideal and the place itself was easy to access with the code provided and it was our first time staying in a place without a front desk. I cannot think of anywhere else I’d stay while visiting Lancaster again."
"The accommodation is very clean, free hot drinks while we stayed and staff very nice, it could do with a lick of paint in certain areas. The location is amazing for walking to both Grasmere and Ambleside. We went to the local pub to watch the badgers. The grounds of Rydal Hall are beautiful and include the grot and a waterfall, Would stay again."
"Decent location. Room looked clean enough.
Initially I struggled getting into the room with the key, but managed to get through.
First night was very warm and I didn't sleep well at all. I put a message through to the host about this and received no response.
Was planning to boil some water in the kettle provided but found a dead bug floating about after I boiled. Safe to stay I just went to the shops nearby to get some drinks."
"Overall we had a lovely time in Ambleside, the house itself was a bit grubby could do with a thorough clean, it said onsite parking on Expedia there is no parking it wasn’t a problem we parked in the village and paid £8 a day but shouldn’t be wrongly advertised, we tried to contact the property owners a couple of times about parking and the rubbish collection but still waiting for a reply, it is a lovely little house in a good location."
