Great location,good price

We booked a standard room with a shared bathroom for a very good price. It was all we needed. Room was freshly decorated, very clean, with tea , coffee biscuits. Bathroom was just for us. Great location.

The room was very clean and we even got a surprise upgrade to a triple bedroom which allowed us to have more space. It had everything you needed from a fan to toiletries to housekeeping on request. The lady who looked after us was lovely and even let us check in a little early as we arrived earlier than planned. She greeted us warmly each day and explained everything we would need. Everyone we spoke to was welcoming and it only took a few minutes walk before we were in the heart of the city centre. I couldn’t recommend this place more. 10/10

Great location and got more for my money than expected. Very clean and thoughtful. The bottles of water provided with fridge was much appreciated. Very quiet. Only thing that would make it better is the makeup light in the bathroom didn't work and the heating automatically came on in the morning making the room a bit warm. Friendly and polite staff.

My two sons and I were looking for a place to sleep only but affordable, clean, close to the attractions in York and we found it here. The room is small but clean and with comfortable beds. It's situated in a nice areas steps to many good places to eat. I'll stay again.

Good service and nothing too much bother considering ther was improvement work in progress.A safe and clean place to stay.plenty of tea coffee and sugar in th room with a fridge, kettle and a hairdryer too.also a small fridge to keep drinks cold,plus a fan on the room to keep cool on hot days. Plenty of shampoo and other amenities in the bathroom also.would definitely use this guesthouse again.

Good location, close to the centre, had to keep window open due to radiators been on full blast so was abit noisy. But beds comfortable and the room and bathroom clean. Would stay again.

Friday night stay for a festival in town

A really nice City centre guesthouse type hotel for a very reasonable price. The bed was very comfortable, the television was excellent and the staff and owners are lovely

The overall stay was lovely i didnt stay the 2 nights as my business was concluded in the first day. The room was very clean amd the beds were really comfortable plenty of tea and coffee in the room and also bottles of water. Will defo be staying here again in the future.

Lovely little hotel, great location

We were pleasantly surprised by this little hidden gem. The location is fantastic, parking just a street away, the room was clean and tidy. Very impressed with the quality and size of the towels, complimentary shower get, shampoo and conditioner and a well stocked cuppa tray.

Great find, easy 5 min walk into York. Old building but clean. Beds were comfortable. Easy to check in and out. Tea and coffee facilities and a bottle of water each were a nice touch.

Loved the central location, easy walking distance for everything, properly is currently undergoing some renovations, our room was basic, but clean and comfortable. Check in procedure was difficult for an overseas visitor as the only method was via calling a uk mobile number which we were unable to do with our Australian phones, a simple addition of a doorbell would be great. Another simple addition which would make a big difference would be a mirror in the room close to a power point, so that you can see to dry and style your hair, I ended up sitting in the doorway so I could use the hallway mirror. Otherwise I was very happy with our stay.

Close to town centre. Great id you don't plan to spend much time there. Beds are clean, bathroom needs an upgrade. Daughter sliced her thumb on the stairs banister. Everything is organised over the phone, don't really see any staff.

The staff did not want to talk much, but were willing to help with everything we asked for, they keep the accommodation wonderfully warm! I'd improve the floorboards but otherwise, I'd absolutely stay again and am sure I would have a relaxing time if I did! I'd thank them for the staff's efforts

Was lovely and clean very helpful We turned up 1 hour early didn’t expect to get in the room but it was ready happy days Parking was £7 had a good night sleep
