"Big selection of breakfast room was lovely n cosy and warm and clean staff very helpfull good bar plenty choice not really down side but if u smoke or vape don’t leave drinks on table if no one sitting they will take away even if not finished with happened to hubby but they did replace it but shows they do like keep place clean n tidy breafast can be busy trying find seat if u go at busy time can be a struggle we had go twice one morning but we did wake up late but does tell u in lift the the quite times and busy times over all had fantastic stay didn’t want to come home looking to book up again hotel was quite town not too far away "

"Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable reception and dining area. Stayed on a one bed suite room which was good for a young family (2 adults, 2 children). Swimming pool recently renovated on 2024 and is a nice addition to the stay."

"Great location and bar staff. That’s all. The shower fell apart. Tiny shower! The room wasn’t clean and the drains kicked out a constant egg smell in our room. The cleaners did half a job most days - we had stains up the walls, no shower gel topped up for four days, dirty mugs not changed for two days and got into bed one night to find a hangar and a pile of rubbish they’d collected and left on the bed. Disappointing for a Hilton and not worth the money. "

"Informed main desk that the room was stale and bathroom sink smelt of drains - not sure anything was done. On last day, our room wasn’t cleaned and had to get fresh towels - prompt response. The drinks machines in breakfast area are not good. Multiple selection of drinks contaminates other drinks. Tea tasted of chocolate! Never used again. Breakfast selection good, but our daughter (coeliac) had little choice and avoided food Staff helpful and very good, but noticed some stress from demand by other people (when serving at the bar was not quick enough)"

"Clearer more detailed parking procedure info required. Brkfst -some std items not presented, no mushrooms, no black pudding. Bar - no pinot grigo white wine for 2 nights, std item really. "

"Hotel design is modern, clean and central to York´s attractions. I stayed for 4 nights, the standard rooms are well equipped, great design, and comfortable. It would´ve been nice to have an alternative to coconut biscuits, a variety of teas and a hot chocolate provided. The housekeeping was different standard everyday, one day the bed wasn’t made or the tea cups cleaned, other days it was very good. I ordered a different cooked breakfast every morning, and honestly wouldn’t want any of them twice. The smoked salmon and ´creamy´ scrambled eggs was a wafer thin slice of salmon with very watery eggs, the Eggs California had puréed grey avocado on a soggy muffin, the soft boiled eggs and soldiers were ok, and on the final day I ordered porridge with berries and honey…the porridge arrived minus the berries and had to ask for them again. When they came it was just 4 raspberries in a pot, and by that time the porridge was cold. The breakfast staff were inconsistent in service. Nearer 10am the staff are clearing tables very loudly and banging and crashing plates and cutlery on the trollies. On one day, a member of staff hovered near our table, wished us a friendly ´have a nice day´ when we got up to leave but then pounced to clear away our table. Service finishes at 10am but that doesn't mean hotel guests have to leave promptly at that time. Sadly the spa was closed for refurbishment so it wasn’t possible to take advantage of the hotel´s usual amenities. "
