"Stayed here for the first time and will definitely revisit. The breakfast had a good variety but could do with more veggie and halal options. We enjoyed the fresh fruit and croissants on top of the breakfast which was free with the stay. We found the room and bathroom clean but the light switches did not cleverly work ftom the bedside. There was plenty parking at no extra cost. "

"Staff were really accommodating when we needed to change rooms. At the last minute. They also offered great room service. The beds were very comfortable and a good sleep was had by us both. The breakfast was served hot with a full English and eggs Benedict was excellent."

"We had a really enjoyable stay at the Grand Hotel and would definitely return. Our room was exceptionally clean and clearly very well prepared—Kannika had done a fantastic job getting everything ready for our arrival. The room itself looked recently refurbished, with a fresh and modern feel that made it very comfortable. Despite being in the city centre, which can be quite noisy at night, we slept incredibly well. The windows did a great job of blocking out the outside noise, and we had two wonderfully restful nights with no disturbance from other guests either. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the service made it even better. The lady who served us, I believe her name was Anya, was delightful—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant, which made the experience even more enjoyable. There was a small inconvenience during our stay as the main lift wasn’t working, meaning we had to use the back lift. However, the reception team handled this very kindly by waiving the parking fee, which we really appreciated. It’s clear that the hotel is in the process of being updated. The main entrance and restaurant have been refurbished to a very high standard, while some areas like the corridors and staircases are still undergoing improvements. That said, this didn’t impact our stay at all, especially given how comfortable and well-finished our room was. Overall, a very positive experience—we would happily stay here again"

"Great hotel, good check in, 2x free drinks, clean room and bathroom. Popped into the city in the morning for coffee, nowhere was open at 6:45 so popped to the bar and they kindly made me an amazing cappuccino. Lots of loud supercars running around outside the hotel but we didn't hear them in the end."

"I booked what was advertised as a hotel-standard studio, but when I arrived, I was told my room was not ready and was asked to wait outside in the cold for over an hour. Eventually, I was placed in a different building in a student accommodation tower, not the studio I booked. The room was dirty and smelled strongly of cigarettes, even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. There was no toilet paper or towels, forcing me to go to a shop just to use the bathroom, and I couldn’t shower because the shower was filthy. The carpet was stained, the bedding didn’t smell fresh, and only one of two lights worked. Throughout the night, there was constant noise, including music, whistling every 20 minutes, and strong wind due to poor insulation on the 21st floor. It was impossible to sleep, and at 4 a.m. I had no choice but to check out and drive home. I had booked this stay so I could study and rest before an exam, but instead, I left exhausted and stressed. Hotels.com has since resolved the issue professionally and issued a full refund, for which I am grateful. However, this property is completely unfit for paying guests and nothing like what was advertised."
