"I think that this is my favorite hotel anywhere, the location by the river is beautiful and quiet. The staff are all friendly, helpful and have a seemingly never ending amount of happy, bouncy energy! We ate from the main dinner menu once, the buffet twice and had a few lunches by the pool - all the food was delicious, plus the Gin and tonics were fabulous! (Yes its a bit expensive but look at where you are!) The resident Cats, Warthogs & Hippos plus the staff and the river setting make this...

(I wanted to give shout outs to both our assigned room service and restaurant staff; unfortunately, I missplaced my notes with everyone's names. Ugh.) "The manager Sam was absolutely brilliant and went out of her way to make our stay an enjoyable one. The rooms were clean and functional but there wasn’t a fridge for drinks or for food. The air conditioner did NOT work and the mosquitos were everywhere. My bed was really hard to sleep on which was uncomfortable. "

"Basic accommodation that has all you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was hot and on time. Place is easy to find. Pool isn’t heated in winter. We didn’t use it. We were in a cottage with two bed/two baths and a large living dining area. Nice for a family. "
