"The Holiday Inn Downtown-Arena is perfectly located for anyone who wants to be close to the Golden 1 Center, which is why I booked this hotel. All in all, I would recommend someone stay here for an event at Golden 1 Center, but that's about it. The staff is great, don't get me wrong, but breakfast and parking both cost $35/day. You can choose not to have breakfast but if you drive you can't really choose to not park your car. My room was clean and the amenities were good, so I could get breakfast items and bring them back to my room however I wish I had a microwave. The tub didn't drain very well (and I'm not sure why the guest before me didn't say anything) so I had to take 2 showers with little drainage, and the water flow/pressure kept changing during the course of each shower which was odd. I did appreciate the daily refreshing of my towels which I have not experienced in any hotel post-COVID so that was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. Next time I visit Sacramento for an event at Golden 1 Center I'll most likely stay at this hotel, and would recommend it to anyone else going to Sacramento for an event at the Golden 1 Center. The staff everywhere within the hotel are warm, friendly, knowledgable, and wonderful."

"My room wasn’t clean as it supposed to be. It was smelly because they’re pet friendly, maybe? Shouldn’t have to because they clean and change everything after each costumer. They housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful but you couldn’t find any other staff members to help you with any other things like fruit or other simple items at the breakfast area if that makes breakfast for you, it had just beagles, simple waffles, beacon and sausages, not eggs or anything else. You get what you pay for?? I guess. I did read many bad reviews about this hotel and believe me it’s much worse than what they described. Anyways, it wasn’t cheap after all, you paid for breakfast somewhere else and needed to take extra sleeping pills to get through the night because it gets loud not matter where people are it’s like they’re in the same room as you! You could hear the person next door snoring!! Parking illumination was all over the lot, it really made it feel safe. One good point for them. Only one. "
