This is a great place to stay and the setting I’d idyllic with the chalets among the trees. The restaurant meals we had were superb albeit a bit pricey. But it was worth it. Our hostess was charming and very friendly. We have stayed there now twice and next time we are passing thru Tūrangi we will certainly stay again.

Lovely mountain lodge feel to the place. Cozy bar area and dinner in the restaurant was amazing. Rooms are not fancy, more basic, but a great stay overall.

What wonderful accommodations on beautiful grounds right by Lake Taupo! Was getting nervous on our road trip that there was nothing out here, but Tongariro Lodge exceeded any expectations. We stayed in a very comfortable villa, did a load of laundry, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful property. Very friendly staff that helped with our planned hike on Tongariro Crossing by providing early breakfast and lunch to go. Enjoyed the lodge common area and food was excellent

The staff were really welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant food was excellent. We stayed in a chalet where the Ironing board was small (sleeve size) so a little tricky to use, but otherwise a comfortable pleasant place to stay
