Let me start by saying the grounds around the hotel are still in the works, as the hotel is only a year old, and I will return when it is complete because it is going to be even MORE amazing!
The hotel is located just a few minute drive from Tulum, but getting a ride is easy, and cheap!
Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was how unique the place was going to be and it did not disappoint. It is like a treehouse for adults with multiple bar and pool areas and a tree top observation deck with 360 degree views.
It is right on the highway so there is some traffic noise as expected, but I did not find it bothered me or took away from the experience.
Due to the time I visited, early December, the hotel, which consists of just 15 rooms, was nearly entirely vacant and there were a couple days when I was the only guest which was a cool experience as it didn't seem they cut back on staff at all. The restaurant had visitors every day and in the evening they had a DJ with light show which was a blast. Even though I was the only guest and a solo traveler, the staff joined in and they actually bring people in just to keep the party going and keep it going we did! The staff were intent on making sure that I had a great time and that I did. If you go, say hi to Jennifer, one of the employees at the party, she is still learning English but we had great laughs using google translate and she is just a bright, fun, light hearted person.
