"Visiting in January, not all cafes or restaurants were open but The Captain's for fish and chips was delicious. Seadrift was perfectly located, enjoyed blustery walks on the coastal path and the beaches were fantastic for dog walking.The cottage was always warm and cosy and the log burner a delight in the evenings. Everything needed was there.Like others, I think the 9am checkout is brutal, but I got round it by booking 4 days for the same price as 3 and enjoyed a more leisurely departure. Was out by 10 am anyway. Would definitely recommend Seadrift, but be aware of the steep stone steps. My little dog was scared and needed carrying up and down them but using the back door meant I only had to do this twice a day."
Sailhouse Loft, New Quay

"Beautiful apartment with absolutely stunning views. Well maintained property with all kitchen utensils needed, towels for showering and tea towel. Beds made up also. A bonus was a washing machine so able to wash costumes and towels. An airer was also provided. Was extremely hot when we arrived at the apartment and unfortunately one window was broken so unable to open it in the frontroom. Once we worked out we could open the sky lights having a breeze through the apartment was more bareable. Be aware that this is a loft apartment so you have to walk up quite a few sets of stairs to get to the apartment, there is no lift. So I would advise that really heavy suitcases would be difficult to carry to the top floor. Unfortunately parking is not available at this property. On arrival, the bay for unloading was being used and did not come available until around 7.30pm. To unload our bags from the car would have meant stopping in the road at a busy time and blocking other traffic. Also the bottom carpark was full until around 8.00pm, which is ideally where you would want to park. We had to pay to park at the top car park on arrival to Newquay at around 12.00pm and wait until around 8.00pm until we could bring the car down to the bottom car park, and pay again, with our bags. Once you are able to park at the bottom, it costs, at the time of writing this, £7.00 for 24 hours. On the whole, apartment amazing, views awesome. Parking and stairs could be an issue for some."

"Fantastic cottage which is situated in a perfect location. We didn't use the car once which is always a bonus. New quay has everything from the best coffee shops to the most friendly local pub we have had the pleasure of visiting (Penrhiwllan inn) huge portions and very welcoming and dog friendly. Oh and only a 6 minute walk from the cottage. We would highly recommend taking full advantage of a massage which is arranged through the owner. Caroline comes to you and it's the best money ever spent! Soooooo relaxing and advanced techniques used. If you do have a massage the first night would be best as the cottage smells of wonderful aromatherapy oils for the rest of the week. There are boat trips to see the dolphins but just go to the harbour wall and see them for free. Once the boats went out a pod of dolphins came splashing by😀"
