"I booked two rooms pre check in already done. When I arrived only one room was ready, that was fine we could wait. The room was in a corridor and the layout was ridiculous. We had to get in behind the door for all us to get into the room. No space between the door and the bed to even get into the room. Compared to other branches of this hotel this has definitely been the worst experience. The sink water wouldn’t drain straight away, water would pool and you have to wait for it to go down. Apparently this was normal. There was someone’s cigarette packet on the dusty top shelf- obviously not cleaned up there. The main problem was the air con. A room with no windows should have the air con working especially during this bank holiday heatwave. When they came to check they said it was normal. The second room we had the air con was working fine, so we could tell the difference. The corridor outside of the room was cooler than inside the room with the air con on! We absolutely melted in that room. During the shift change we had 2 new receptionists downstairs Mubashishir and Saqba. They were so lovely, they checked the air con and straight away said it was not working, offered a free breakfast as well. The next day one the cleaners set of the alarm vaping in the hotel. We went down to reception and the employees gave no guidance no reassurance as to what was happening and whether it was a drill or not. We asked them what was happening and no one knew. No clear fire alarm protocol."
