"Hotel Cassendra was a real find. The staff were so lovely and really couldn't do enough to make my stay more pleasant. No question or request was too great or small for them. It is up a steep hill so.wpuld make quite a hike from Kandy but its maybe 300 rupees in a tuk tuk to get up. Very easy to walk down into Kandy however, and it also passes the viewpoint. When you get to the Royal park, there is a lane to the right of it and that ia a handy shortcut into town. It's honesly only a 10min walk....
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Viyana. We were there just one night but the staff are so friendly, chatty and attentive. We really loved the waiter. This is a great location for the Temple of the Tooth and for walking around the lake and also for going to the Culture Centre to see the Kandyan dancing.

"Hotel situe en plein centre ville mais neanmoins calme. Parfait pour faire quelques visites et achat dans la ville. Attention 2 etages sans ascenseur mais ensuite un ascenseur. Petit dej très bon. Piscine tres agreable. "

The building, which has been beautifully restored and appointed, sits in arguably the best location above Kandy and the warm and elegant hospitality was memorable. We cannot recommend more highly!
