"We stayed on the coldest week of November when snow was falling and outside temperatures were below 0°c, the landlord controls the heating via an app in the office, we complained over half a dozen times and it was Wednesday before they turned it on, we were sat watching telly in our jumpers, coats and hats. And they still turned it off again in the morning before the flat warmed up. We also bought food to cook in the oven, which doesn't work, again reported it and acknowledged by them, but no...

"nice clean rooms, comfortable bed and sofa, good shower and toilet facilities. Good air conditioning. bit of a dodgy lift, and one out of action completely would be my only criticism. "Premises are located in a good location to all amenities, well presented, staff service was good, gym pool area facilities were really good and easyly accessible. Food was very good and staff member Gabbi’s ( young lady seamed of Latin nationality with brown hair) service was excellent as she was very polite and happy to make sure we got our breakfast choice and made our dining experience very joyful. We wish her the best in her career with your hotel. Room was clean and comfortable with everything we required. Staff at main check in desk were also very friendly and helpful We hope to return soon"

"We loved being in one of the original cell rooms, though ours looked in need of some TLC particularly the bathroom and the wardrobe/desk/chair. The bed was very comfy - would have been good to have a lighter duvet for the current climate. The bar area decor is a bit plain - though the member of staff was super helpful and friendly. The corridors/landing areas are obviously very narrow and when the team are cleaning the equipment clutter them. Would be great if they could find a solution to improve the first impression."

Village Hotel Swindon

Village Hotel Swindon

8/10 Good
"The hotel is very clean and ideally located, with shops nearby and an adventure centre with cinema and other entertainment facilities just across the road. We booked a family room and it was great, very spacious and clean. I requested a cot for my baby and it was in the room when we got there. The swimming pool and other facilities were wonderful, and we all enjoyed it. The bar/restaurant was great too and they were showing the World Cup final on the big screen which was brilliant for my husband and 10 year old who are football mad. The staff were lovely, talked us through the self check in and out. They also assisted very promptly when we realised our shower had no bodywash, just shampoo and handwash. There were a lot of positives and we’d definitely book again. The only things that let us down a bit was that the room was at the far end of the corridor so there was a lot of walking to get to it. It seems the closest exit was blocked off for some maintenance work, which we aren’t holding against them as it is temporary. It was very warm in the night and there was no where to get water, which for me as a breastfeeding mum was disappointing. I tried to message the team on the designated platform, I even went down to reception in the early hours to try and get some water but to no avail. I assumed there’d be a water dispenser or a vending machine at least. Otherwise a good stay, seems they are fixing a few things in the hotel which is promising. I would highly recommend"
