Regina Palace Hotel

"What an amazing stay we had at Regina Palace! Everything was superb! The hotel is gorgeous as well as its garden with an outdoor pool and Le Grill restaurant; the indoor pool that is designed like a cave was beautiful; hotel’s Charleston restaurant was excellent, breakfasts there were plentiful; piano playing in the lobby was classy and delightful; bed and bath linens were perfectly starched; it is super clean and very welcoming everywhere! The entire hotel staff was attentive, efficient and hospitable. Regina Palace is a true Grand Hotel in all aspects of a hotel business! Thank you so very much!"

"The hotel was like a step back in time, which we absolutely loved. The staff were all incredible, kind, considerate and caring. The service they provided was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The meals were lovely as were the drinks on the terrace and canapés. The pool area was lovely and the pool itself a welcome relief from the heat of the day. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"Some people like the grandeur of Italian hotels, some prefer the more modern type of hotels. This hotel convinced us that we are very happy to stay in Italian style hotels. Very nice inside with most comfortable seats in the lounge areas, good breakfast (not a massive choice but perfectly good). Our room was facing the front with a balcony, yes when you were in the balcony during the day there was the road noise from below but when you closed the balcony door the sound proofing was excellent, didn’t hear a thing. Liked the fact that we could use the pool facilities at the nearby Regina Palace for free. Very conveniently located for the restaurants and shops which was good for us."
Hotel La Palma

"Hotel La Palma exceeded our expectations and is one of the finest hotels we’ve stayed at on Lake Maggiore. We booked a Deluxe Lake View Room on the 6th floor, and it was absolutely spectacular. The spacious terrace, complete with a table and comfortable outdoor sofa, offered breathtaking views of the lake and was the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine. The amenities are outstanding. The gym and spa, also located on the 6th floor, are beautifully designed and impeccably maintained. The rooftop Sky Bar on the 7th floor is a wonderful spot for aperitivo while watching the sunset over Lake Maggiore. The hotel also features a gorgeous rooftop pool as well as a massive lakeside pool with incredible panoramic views—both perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast each morning was exceptional. The buffet offered an extensive selection of fresh pastries, fruits, cheeses, meats, eggs, made to order items, and just about anything you could want to start the day. The staff throughout the hotel were warm, professional, and attentive, providing excellent service from check-in to departure. The only drawbacks were that our room was directly beneath the Sky Bar, so the music and activity could be heard into the evening. We also noticed cigarette smoke drifting down from guests at the Sky Bar and from neighboring balconies, which occasionally made it difficult to enjoy our own terrace. Despite those issues we loved our stay."
Hotel Boston

"The Hotel Boston was fantastic for our needs, the location was just a minute from the swimming areas on the lake and a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Stresa. The air conditioning in the room was incredible, outside it was 36 degrees and muggy so our room was an oasis to return to! We had a big, clean room and the staff were polite and helpful. Parking was easy (I booked well in advance - there aren’t many spaces). The only small thing I’d like to have had would have been a better towel rail to dry the towels on. Oh, and plug sockets - only one in the room and high up and nowhere near a table so we had to take a chair over to balance phones on the back of to charge."

"The minute you walk into the reception area you are greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. The property itself is gorgeous and newly remodeled and restored. Every detail is gorgeous! It’s very modern and in good taste. The pool is spectacular and the pool bar is special. The rooms are spacious and had a lake view with a balcony. Beds are very comfortable. The location is perfect close to any thing you want to do. We took a boat to the Iobella island and the jumped in the lake. Highly recommend this property"

"Lovely small hotel on the outskirts of Stresa. Never had a breakfast offering with so much fresh fruit/delicious ! Nice balcony overlooking the islands. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Couple of minor points- Shower could do with being re grouted/sealing as a bit brown and the sun beds are at the stage for an upgrade. Just minor points and didn’t detract from our lovely stay."
