"The room is large but not usefully so. There are no plug sockets beside the bed in the room I was in so you had to get out of bed to turn your alarm off if like me your phone needs constant charging. The TV was a disappointment. No smart TV services (despite the buttons in the remote). Fortunately the WiFi was fast enough to stream on the tablet. No casting available. The bathroom was a similar situation. The combined depth of the large square sink and the cabinet covering the toilet cistern made shaving difficult and there was no pullout shaving mirror. Breakfast too was a disappointment. Scrambled eggs, plum tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, sausage and bacon was all there was on hot counter. You get more for less at the budget hotels."

"Beautiful traditional beer garden. Great steak for dinner. Very comfortable period room. Lovely breakfast. Most importantly very relaxed, helpful and friendly staff- looking forward to a return visit."

"Nice room in a traditional pub, but it didn’t have space for a chair or even a luggage rack. You have to put your luggage on the bed to unpack and then sit on the bed to drink tea and eat the continental breakfast. The shower was good with lots of hot water. The bed and pillows weren’t great. The noise from the pub is very noticeable, keeping us awake until 1:45 am on a Friday night. This was mostly attributable to the courtyard where smokers gather and talk loudly. That area is directly under the window of room 2. Otherwise it’s quiet. Parking is limited but free. Food in the pub was really good and there’s a good selection of beer and cider. "

"Tv in bar lounge not set up for even basic channels, just on a rolling red bull advert..pointless waste of electricity. Couldn’t get an evening meal before 7pm as booked up but surely residents should come first? Staff were first class, rooms clean and comfortable, would stay here again "

"we loved our stay in the shepard's hut at Bye Mills Farm, we had an easy check in and was left our own devices. lots of lovely walks that are very scenic. The hut its self was clean and cosy. We even saw deer in the field opposite. lots of lambs and even a buzzard! "

"There was a nice welcome as we arrived. We had booked dinner for a later time but was able to be seated early. The food was very good with a good choice in the menu. The room was large and had all the required facilities. "

"The property is very well equipped. Everything we needed was there. Kitchen was very well stocked with crockery, glassware, cookware and cutlery and a great selection of DVDs to watch in the evening. The owner had also very generously left a wide supply of teas, coffee and cake. It was a fantastic location for our family get together over Easter. Lots of really nice walks to do and a very ease walk into the village centre where there are several pubs if you don't want to cook."
