Lovely rooms in a character building, owner and his sons were so helpful and friendly. Very clean and updated rooms. Recommended restaurants in area were excellent. Parking available and close to harbour and shops. Would definitely recommend.

We very much appreciated the late night accommodation for our check in after getting a flat tire that delayed our plans. Room was great with 2 comfortable Queen beds and a pullout couch, perfect for 4 of us and had a kitchenette.

Location was great, but the property itself had some issues. It was very noisy, thin walls. The fire alarm went off at 7am due to steam from the shower and the bed was really uncomfortable. Bathroom is really really tight. Otherwise clean and had what you needed. Just wouldn’t stay more than 1-2 nights.

Perfect location with a few issues

We were unpleasantly surprised when we arrived before the end of office hours and the door was locked, especially since we had called to say we were on our way. We had to call the hotel and wait for the young man who finally checked us in with a comment about being sorry if we had to wait a long time. He showed us to our room and seemed eager to leave. He didn't exactly make us feel welcome. The coffee area downstairs smelled very musty, and the carpet was worn. Our room was clean, with a comfortable bed, a fridge and microwave, a closet, and a bench that we assumed was for luggage. The bathroom was small with a large door that didn't latch, as the wood seemed swollen. The toilet seat was loose and we had to be careful not to fall. The towels were thin and had worn edges. They are ready to be retired. On a more positive note, the location was perfect. The property is just steps from the wharf and many restaurants and shops. With just a little fixing up, this can be a top notch property.

Smoke detector missing in room. No microwave despite advertising it does. Could hear snoring through the walls very well which kept us awake all night. We had to speak softly once we realized how sound travelled from room to room.Excellent location and room was dated but clean. Very friendly lady cleaning the room when we arrived. So much potential with this spot but if it fills and walk ins are being turned away then why invest in it, I guess.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, good complimentary coffee from the machine in the morning, no noise from the street overnight but some disturbance from guests in neighboring room who came back in late and the walls are thin. But apart from that, all was well.
