Within the first 24hr of our stay, we experienced a number of issues which ultimately resulted in us leaving after one night (booked for 4 nights).
- the day before checking in, we received a message stating that the property was trying to charge our card for the whole booking even though we had already booked and paid in full through Expedia. Luckily the bank rejected the payment and we resolved the issue with the property.
-upon arrival, we noticed a lot of damage to the room. looks like water damage, missing lights, fans not working and door handles falling off.
- we were locked out 2x times on our first day. The property uses an app that creates a code on the lock. This didn’t work the first time and WAS CONFIRMED TO BE MALFUNCTIONING and needed to be re programmed. The 2nd time we were locked out at 9:30pm at night. There is no front desk worker however there was a maintenance person who was eventually able to let us in. This was stressful.
- that same night there was a big party above us and went on until 3am. My wife and I didn’t sleep much that night.
- due to these two issues on the first night we decided to leave and request a refund. The property denied it however said, if they could recoup their money from the party people above us through their security deposit, they would refund us. They never did but offered us 100$ for the inconvenience which we never received.
Will never book a Kristy Collection property again after being treated this bad.
