"Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. However, decor in the room was rather dated/tired. However, it was reasonable value for money, given I stayed during the height of Golden Week."

"Staff were really excellent - super helpful. Location was a bit outside of the main city centre but the hotel runs free shuttles to/from the city centre on an hourly bases. There is car parking available for a fee. Hotel and room looks a bit dated but has a great view of Sakurajima. Onsen is smaller than what can be seen in the pictures - view of Sakurajima from the bath is unfortunately blocked for privacy reasons. "

"I had a room with view on volcano. It was great on morning time. There was possible to open narrow window to get some fresh air. Room was clean. I was on paid buffet breakfast. Great variety of dishes. "

"This hotel is in an excellent location opposite Kagoshima chuo train station. We had an amazing view of Sakurajima volcano from our room on the 13th floor. The hotel is very comfortable with an excellent buffet breakfast. I would definitely stay here again!!"

"I believe because of the way the shower spaces are designed, mold collects easily. My first room had mold on the shower floor, doors, shutters (not sure why they chose to have the shutters inside the shower) and caulking. They were kind enough to move me to another room, which had much less mold. The walls have scuffing and the floors show a lot of signs of wear. However, the lobby space is nice and the location is great - easy to walk to the ferry terminal and the airport bus is right outside. It’s also only like 15-20 minute walk to the train station. But I found I couldn’t fully relax due to the state of the room."

"Old Hotel, 70s and not renovated, low price has a reason. The onsen in pictures and pool were dirty green algae water! Breakfast was standard Japanese Parking on premises available Location not central and hard to reach near the port."
