This property is a smelly dump and it is a travesty that Expedia lists it as a 4 star hotel. In truth, it is a 1.5 star hotel. The rooms are old and smelly, with worn, somewhat dirty carpets and washed, but visibly old sheets for the beds.
The property is a 20 min Uber ride or 30 minute shuttle ride from Terminal 5, I.e. the exact amount of time it will take you to come to T5 from London Paddington. Very misleading to say that this is a T5 hotel.
This hotel has problems with its water/sewer system. Water was stopped multiple times for hours for “maintenance “ as water apparently leaks and floods rooms.
And the staff doesn’t really care. They answer is that they put a sign on the front desk when there are water problems, they didn’t create the problem, and they do their job.
The hotel staff were all very friendly and efficient including the restaurant.

One night stay
Just one night on arrival to the UK. Reception staff were very helpful. A bit disconcerting that I could clearly hear the guests in the next room talking through the adjoining wall without even trying, so I assume they could hear us too!! So nil score for insulation in the walls.
I found the bed slightly too firm
Plug sockets are situated too low, some are under desk if like myself you have a back problem these are too difficult to access..
All staff are friendly and helpful and hotel hopper bus ideal for airport terminals.
Amazing staff and service from start to finish highly recommended.

Antiquated lift and floor access by room card! Several problems getting up and down lift and to my floor
Made a compliant and told them it’s very out dated and the cards issued are badly designed with no instructions issued on reception when giving the card out

A little hectic, but the hotel was nice and clean. Had confusion at the airport shuttles about WHICH "Holiday Inn." Massive group of people (family reunion or conference?) that were gathered around the desk and wasn't asked to make a path for other guests. Wasn't sure when to approach, but finally got the head-nod from the desk clerk. Sign-in was generally smooth. Glad we picked the extra money for the breakfast -- good food. Decently close to Ascot Racecourse.
It was very helpful having a shuttle to the airport. We had to catch an earlier shuttle than expected because of travel changes and an employee handed us a couple of sandwiches for breakfast
Desk staff were very helpful and friendly, and we appreciated being able to check in early. It's easy to get downtown by bus and underground - the bus stop is in front of the hotel and it takes about 60 - 75 minutes. The hotel is located in a residential area - restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Hotel restaurant has nice breakfast buffet for L10. Getting to hotel from Terminal 2 was a L25 cab ride; but there is a L6 shuttle to and from Terminal 5 that runs every 30 minutes. We recommend this hotel.
The hotel was clean, modern and comfortable and the staff were friendly. However if you are flying from Terminal 5 be aware that it is a 20 minute shuttle bus/taxi from the Terminal. You're better going to terminal 4 for a hotel and get to terminal 5 on the tube from there.
