"The hotel is a beautiful property with a good location. The modern decor and large comfortable rooms enhance the stay. It was quiet, even when busy. We did not use the breakfast facility but did check it out. It was pleasant and inviting. Our only quibble was with elevator service. We were on the 28th floor. Your room card is needed to select your floor. One evening we discovered that one of the cars only went to the 24th floor. After many tries of tapping the room key and pressing 28 and having nothing happen we got off the elevator to try another. Each time I pressed the up button, the same faulty car was the one that presented itself. After many aborted attempts, in extreme frustration and tiredness, I sought out a manager who helped. But the issue was not fixed for the entirety of our stay (albeit, it was a weekend) nor was any indication of the problem posted to prevent others the trouble we had. Not a biggie. We dealt with it but it was a distraction to the overall excellent experience. We will stay at the hotel again on our next visit to the city."

"I stayed at Villa Manor for a week with a friend. We thoroughly enjoyed being there. Things that were awesome: * The staff (at the reception desk, room service, and in the breakfast area) that was super welcoming, responsive, helpful and efficient. * The historic building, that was previously a Post Office, with interesting architecture and high ceilings. * The convenient location. We just had to walk some 15 minutes along rue Préfontaine to get to the subway. The Manoir was in walking proximity to rue Ontario where there were coffee shops, bakeries, pizza places and small restaurants. Things that were great: * The room was clean, very comfortable, and the shower was reliable hot and strong. * Breakfast was included (coffee, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, pastries) in the basement. There was also a coffee machine and cookies in the lobby. * In the evening, if we did not want to stay in the room, we could go to the breakfast area where there are comfortable couches and assorted books and magazines. Things that could be better: * The A/C cannot be regulated, so our room was initially very cold. The staff immediately responded and "closed" one of the vents in the room and that worked great. * It would be nice to have boiled eggs or yogurt at the breakfast table (I think there was yogurt but it was always gone by the time we went downstairs) Overall a very pleasant stay. We definitely will book again if we come to Montreal. And a huge THANK YOU to the staff."

"When we arrived in Montreal around 7pm we discovered our reservation was cancelled without reason at another hotel. We didn't want to spend a lot of money, but were extremely limited at such a late time. Travelodge had one room left - two twin beds, which wasn't important to us. We were just grateful they could accommodate us, especially as there was a convention in town that weekend. Our room was small but well laid out, clean, included a fridge, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was included, and parking was below the hotel, which is so convenient. The hotel is close to a grocery store, shops, restaurants, and just a short walk to Old Montreal. It's an ideal location. The staff made it easy for us to keep our room when we decided to stay another day. All in all it was an enjoyable experience. We highly recommend this hotel."
