  • Nestled beside the owners’ home, yet with privacy assured, this quirky loft apartment is the perfect base for couples seeking easy access to the famed Jurassic Coast and scenic landscapes of Dorset and Somerset. Set in the heart of Chetnole village, with a pub just opposite, this is an ideal base for exploration. Sherborne, with its historic abbey, castles, boutique shops, idyllic streets and eateries, is only 8 miles away. Or plan a visit to the Cerne Abbas Giant, National Trust-owned Tintinhull Gardens, Montacute House, and Barrington Court, which are all within 20 miles. Head to West Bay, Abbotsbury, West Bexington or the traditional town of Weymouth for some fresh sea air, all under 25 miles away.

    External timber steps lead up to the entrance into this characterful courtyard apartment. Once inside, you'll be met with a compact entrance vestibule, which leads into the contemporary kitchen/diner. Cleverly blending old and new, this sociable space has a central table alongside everything you need to create simple suppers. The bedroom is just next door and has an en-suite shower room leading off it. Also leading from the kitchen is the inviting lounge, which has both a Smart TV and a wood burner, ideal for cosy evenings spent indoors. A further corridor leads to a fabulous games room with stunning exposed beams, which is furnished with a full-size snooker table. Challenge your loved one to a game before relaxing in the adjacent bar area, which has a second fridge.

    Heading outside via the main entrance steps, you can stroll across the courtyard to a gravelled garden with flower beds, fruit trees and furniture, ideal for your morning coffee or a sundowner. Adjacent to the property is a tennis court, which is available by arrangement directly with the owners.
