Thanks to our great hosts we had a fantastic stay at this lovely hotel.
The location is great for the town or for heading to the beach.
The hotel was spotless and the breakfast was wonderful.
We will definitely be back.
Have just returned after a weeks stay . Lovely location in the heart of Shanklin , close to all amenities . Rooms excellent , lovely & clean . Staff very friendly & helpful. Excellent breakfast .
The hosts, Vicky and Paul, were most welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were also pleasant and helpful. The hotel was well situated and was immaculately clean. Breakfast was excellent so on the whole everything was perfect.
We had a wonderful stay at The Havelock. The owners are lovely people. Very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The room was excellent, with a sea view, plenty of wardrobe and drawer storage. The ensuite was spotless, as was the room. Breakfast was extremely good. Full English and scrambled eggs cooked to perfection. The Havelock is in an ideal location. Close to Shanklin Village, and the beach. Which is handy if you have some mobility issues.
I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends & family.
The Havelock is a beautiful hotel, warm welcome, view of the sea, great little bar area, delicious breakfast with good choices and meat from local butcher. Close to the sea front and old town, convenient for bars and restaurants. The bed was a bit old with a dip in the mattress but that's my only quibble.
I'd definitely stay there again.
Our stay at The Havelock was extremely pleasant. The hotel was very clean and well presented. Paul and Vicky were excellent hosts and were always on hand for a friendly chat. The breakfast was very good and all the serving staff were so friendly and efficient.
The location of the hotel is great - with old Shanklin village, Shanklin Chine and the beach all nearby.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Havelock and will hopefully return one day.
Thoroughly recommend!
Friendly couple running the hotel and they were so helpful. Room was great with everything you could need. Comfortable clean and with a sea view. If I return to the Isle of Wight I will definitely stay again.
We stayed in room 11 - although great access to the pool, there was noise from the kitchen area below (in the evening and early morning). The bathroom is far too small for a family suite.
Good location - we got around on foot most of the time. Very friendly staff serving breakfast.
Very comfortable, clean and conveniant location. Breakfast good ingrediants well prepared. Owners and staff very friendly and always happy to help.Particular thank you to Daniel for excellent service
We decided to have a staycation here this summer and it was wonderful. The place is run by a lovely couple who are very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, a stone’s throw to the sea front and the old town and a 10 minute walk to the train station. It has a wonderful sea view from the terrace where you can sit and have drinks in the evening. It also has a heated swimming pool which is lovely on warmer days - it almost feels like you’re on the Mediterranean. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. We don’t usually do staycations but this is a place I would happily visit again. Highly recommend.
The whole experience was excellent tge staff where friendly and helpful , the location was great , the hotel was very clean and airy and everyone was very polite .
Hotel was busy with a mixture of families and couples. Service was excellent and a good variety of choices for breakfast particularly liked the home made bread
Our weekend at the Havelock was fantastic. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the attention to detail Was exceptional. The gardens were stunning and well deserved of the many awards.
The breakfasts were amazing and Ann’s homemade jams were scrumptious. We highly recommend this hotel 100% and we will be back- hopefully when the sun is shining!.
Nice, very friendly hotel very near the front and Shanklin's old village. Very pleasant, helpful owners. Clean, nicely furnished rooms and good breakfasts. What more could you want?
