A great place to stay with easy access to Isle of Skye and the local restaurants and shops. The room was well presented and the bathroom with bath is fresh and recently renovated. "The place is older and hasn't seen the best of maintenance in recent years it seems. The door to the bathroom in our room did not close due to misalignment. The shower stall had mold in the corners. The room itself smelled and felt damp. Nobody on site to complain to so we lived with it. Considering our experience and what was paid we would not come back unless other options were booked up. Yes the place is cheaper than a lot in the area however it was still overpriced in our eyes."

"We were only here for one night. I thought it was on the isle of sky. It is not but in the town of Mallaig. We needed to take a ferry to the island or travel 2 1/2 hours around to get there. We didn’t know this, so we missed scheduling. The weather was very cold and wet the next morning so we decided to bypass the isle of skye. The drive to Mallaig and all the sites of glencoe and the highlands made the trip totally worth it. We were in total awe."

"Beautiful stay at this 150 year old property. Intimately sized which is nice. Nicely updated with new furniture & plumbing. Scrumptious bed. Enjoyed the restaurant for 2 dinners & had lovely meals. My only surprises were that I had to stand on a chair to use the hairdryer near a mirror. "Wonderful hosts whom made us a late request dinner. Rooms were clean and neat and everything was well decorated and functioning. A very nice breakfast as well. A minute to the ferry to Isle of Mull giving plenty of time for a day exploring Duart castle and Tobermorey. Highly recommend!"

"Greshornish was a beautiful spot however the location was quite remote and the driveway to get to the property was approximately 2.5 miles long and full of pot holes. "This is a great hotel and would stay there again. Only complaint is pictures on expedia do not match the assigned room. Example, we booked a room with a clawfoot bathtub that also had more windows. The front desk staff acknowledged the pictures do not match the rooms. Overall, great property."
