"The room was very clean, thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated. Lovely, quiet spot."

"The location of this little motel is perfect if you're taking the ferry to Block Island the next day. It's just two miles from the ferry port. We would have enjoyed staying here even if we were not going to Block Island, though—it's sparkling clean with a ton of little touches that turn a nice motel into a great one. There are towel bars and hooks in all the right places, and even an electrical outlet at the top of the refrigerator for plugging in an electric cooler or whatever else you need to...

"The history of the hotel is amazing, the cleanliness, not so much. Hairs on our sheets, sticky bathroom floor, rude staff members, inadequately supplied toiletries. Would never recommend anyone pay $400 for this. Better places with better customer service in the area."

"The photo for the hotel was of a much nicer building down the street, not the hotel at all. The rooms were shown fairly accurately. It has 2 separate buildings with the lobbies not at parking level."

"Our stay here was great. Right next to the beach, great breakfast, love the convenience of being so close to Newport and the cliff walk."

"We were there celebrating our 57th wedding anniversary. It was relaxing and we had a beautiful view of the water from our room. The food at the in house restaurant(Johnny's) was convenient and delicious ."

"The building looks old and smelled"

"This is a very simple clean hotel. (Although the cleaning smell was very strong) No coffee maker in the room, but it did have a microwave and mini frig. Complimentary basic shampoo, conditioner and shower soap. Outside entry to the rooms so you can park right up to your room. No early check in. No coverage in the front office in the morning. There is a phone # to call on the door) Our bathroom window did not lock. If you are looking for very basic, clean and inexpensive place to stay close...

"Great location and met all our needs"

"The stay was nice. The room was okay. It looked like the carpet was the original and dirty. It should be replaced or have the same wood as the half of the room that was wood. The curtains should be replaced. The backing was peeling but the front was ok. The breakfast only had quiche every day, with no variety on the eggs. The breakfast area was in the basement. The fire alarm sounded at 7:30am. The fire truck rolled out. Whatever they were cooking for breakfast got burnt and...

"This is a beautiful, welcoming inn with great amenities. The front desk staff were great. The room was spacious and clean. The refrigerator was stocked with orange juice, milk and water and there was no additional charge. Breakfast was delivered to my room- yogurt parfait and warm apple turnovers. Parking is free which is a real bonus in Newport. Highly recommend!!!"
