"This is an amazing place to stay, high up on a hillside, surrounded by subtropical vegetation and with fantastic views of the Coromandel coast. The bach is beautifully decorated and very well equipped.Rechelle sent us very useful information well in advance of our stay and checked that everything was ok once we had arrived. She had left a bottle of fizz and some chocolate which were lovely touches.The property is up a steep gravel road which is a bit daunting the first time of driving but we got used to it.All in all we had a fantastic 3 days at Sea Escape and would recommend it to anyone."

"Everything about this hotel is a gold star, despite the bathrooms being slightly outdated and the road to get there semi isolated for food options. This is a great place for a night or even a week! The staff were friendly, and so were the ducks and eels! We were fortunate to see the lunar eclipse right from their hand built trail, and only wish we could have stayed longer. "
