The property was lovely and the room had a great view of the river. However, the hotel was so preoccupied with conserving energy that we were not really in control of the room's temperature. The AC would not go below a certain temp setting (and the weather was warm) and it went off altogether every time we stepped out on the terrace. We will not stay there again.

The view of the Duoro River from all of the rooms and the lovely outdoor space was outstanding. The walking trail alongside the river was easily accessible. I wished we had a longer stay at this wonderful location.
