"I really enjoyed Barcelo. I took my girlfriend there to celebrate her birthday for 5 days. Staff were friendly lots to do and see. Entertainment team was really good. The shows were really fun every night. Will definitely be coming back to Barcelo. Highly recommend even to families looking for a great place."

"Staff were excellent, food was really good overall, and the resort is beautiful. Apart from having dinner not much else is happening in the evening. We unfortunately had a room next to a child that cried and screamed a lot. The rooms are not that well insulated. Also on arrival and check in with the concierge I was taken off guard and asked to attend a time share presentation. I didn’t expect it nor did I object so that is my fault."

"Property is beautiful & so clean and spacious for the 4 of us. The check in process was a bit frustrating since we submitted all the info before we arrived & had to compete all the same info when we arrived. We had limited towels which wasn’t a big deal but surprising. They also have an in room laundry room which was so helpful. ( need to bring your own supplies) The pools were gorgeous & you can’t get a better view. We stayed in February one year & saw whales from the balcony. We will be back."

"Wow, this was a trip of a lifetime! Absolutely everything was perfect. The pictures don’t do this home justice-it is ten times more stunning in person. It is so comfortable, beautiful and every detail is well thought out. The staff were so lovely and helpful. Fide, the chef, was phenomenal. Everything she made was a perfect. Rogelio was so helpful and attentive. I can’t remember the other ladies name but she was fantastic as well. The owner of the home is so responsive and friendly. The location is amazing, it’s so close to many of the attractions we were interested in. I honestly can’t say enough good things. It was such a beautiful property we even had a family photo shoot on the property. I recommend it to everyone and hope I can come back some day."

"While this villa is quite lovely, it could use a little attention. there are some maintenance issues (lighting, AC units, pool tiles, dish washer, water features) as well as the kitchen being very grubby. The location is great but not at all walkable to any services, so be prepared to drive. we did not use any of the offered daily services. requested a replacement purified water jug but this was not provided."

"Our first girls trip to Puerto Vallarta couldn’t have been better, and Casa Matuta exceeded every expectation! The host was incredibly responsive, communicative, and made everything so easy from start to finish.The villa is absolutely stunning, with some of the most beautiful views in the area. As an all-girls group, safety was important to us, and we always felt completely comfortable. The location is peaceful and secluded, and every taxi driver knew exactly where the villa was, making transportation effortless.The Wi-Fi was a little spotty at times, but honestly, we were there to enjoy the villa and everything Puerto Vallarta has to offer, so it wasn’t an issue for us.The chef was amazing! Every meal was beautifully presented, delicious, and she made us feel so welcome. We also highly recommend booking a boat tour with her dad, Enrique. He and his crew gave us an unforgettable experience, taking us to beautiful beaches and showing us the area in just a few hours.We were already talking about booking our next trip before we even left. Casa Matuta is the perfect villa for larger groups, and we can’t wait to come back!"
