We had a one night stop here in October. The room had been redecorated reasonably recently, the bathroom also looked very modern, all very clean. A new mattress wouldn't go amiss though.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, for our evening meal we had a pizza, which was ok, it was tasty and very filling. We didn't have breakfast so cant comment.
The absolute best thing about this hotel is sitting outside the front having a drink and admiring a stunning view! That alone would bring us back.
We will definitely return sometime, recommended.
Very nice location, peaceful, scenic view. Staff was very welcoming. Food was delicious. The rooms were clean. Me and my family loved the stay and would visit again.
It’s a lovely old building with a good sized room and a comfy bed. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen! But it functioned! There is a lovely view and a lovely and lively pub, helpful and friendly staff and a solid breakfast. We would stay again.

What a lovely place. Check in easy, lovely clean, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast and very nice and friendly staff
What an amazing location!
Staff friendly. We had a drink in the bar when we arrived.
Lovely room - clean and big, tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water was a nice touch, bathroom was a bit small!
we didn’t have breakfast.
Only bad point was over flowing bins outside by the car park.
Our room was very clean and tidy, slept well even though it was very hot during our stay. It would have been nice to have a seat in the room, as I had to stand up to dry my hair, which was a little difficult, but I understand that it may be hard given the size of the room. There was a good choice at breakfast, even though we didn't take full advantage, we enjoyed what we had. Loved the bread.. The service throughout our 2-day stay was very good.
We did find the location more remote than expected, but it was worth it for the wonderful views.!!!
NB The blind on the window needs fixing and maybe a bigger toilet seat !!
We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Views are amazing and for anyone who loves scenery and nature this is a lovely place to stay.

Room had amazing view, it was immaculate. Staff were very welcoming and the food was great.
fantastic location especially if you get the weather and manage to get outside for evening meal. Room was nice and clean and good size (family room) food was superb and definitely value for money.
Stayed for 2 nights, very peaceful, stunning views, food menu good, however no burgers when we went to order, staff very friendly, couldn’t do enough for you, family of 3, double bed and two singles, tea, coffee, bottles of water and biscuits were a nice touch,
However breakfast was a bit expensive £12, for a full English ok price, however me and my son had 2 slices of toast each and was charged £12, very expensive, we decided not to have breakfast there on our 2nd morning due to the price of the toast
