"he house was really nice, with a great pool, views, and surroundings. Our complaint was that we felt the house was not represented correctly. It worked out for us since we were all adults, but I’m not sure it would suit a family. It is listed as a four-bedroom house, but in fact, it is a two-bedroom house with a detached building that has a further two bedrooms and a bathroom included. There are 19 large outdoor steps down to these rooms, and unfortunately, it was raining most nights, so we got quite wet going to bed. These two downstairs bedrooms are actually one room separated by two steps up and no door, so they are not really two rooms and lack privacy. The back bedroom is quite pokey and claustrophobic. The standard of this downstairs space is not in keeping with the house itself.There was only one hairdryer provided for three bathrooms, the mugs and glasses didn’t match, and there could have been more crockery and cutlery provided. When paying this much for a property, this feels a bit cheap.There are also safety concerns if you had children with you, the porch around the pool is quite tall with no barrier and a drop straight onto concrete below. I don’t know if it is council compliant but it’s a long way to fall on concrete. Overall, while we appreciated the charm of the house and the stunning views, clearer communication about the property’s layout and improvements in safety and amenities would greatly enhance the experience for future guests."

"The island has everything you need for food and activities. We spent 3 full days there and feel that was enough, the snorkelling was a highlight for our kids and us. The food was expensive as expected on an island but delicious. The pool was quite cold and only 1 of the 3 days we were there the spa was warm which was disappointing "

"qualia is one of the most beautiful properties we have visited. The setting, architecture, views, and atmosphere truly feel special and uniquely Australian. Our arrival experience was excellent. Noemi provided a warm airport pickup, smooth check-in, and a thoughtful overview of the property and room. The accommodations themselves were stunning. We also had an incredible “Best of Both Worlds” tour with Pedro, who was engaging, knowledgeable, and passionate about the island. It was one of the highlights of the trip. The main challenge during the first 24 hours was inconsistency in service attentiveness. At times, particularly at the pool and during our first dinner at Long Pavilion, service felt less proactive than expected for a property at this level. Drink refills, reservation follow-up, and simple check-ins occasionally required prompting rather than feeling naturally anticipated. What truly elevated the experience was the response from leadership. Rebecca, the General Manager, was exceptional: thoughtful, responsive, attentive, and genuinely interested in feedback. Her professionalism and accountability significantly improved the remainder of our stay. Beach Club dinner was another standout, with warm staff, relaxed pacing, and beautifully prepared food and cocktails. Overall, qualia delivers an extraordinary setting and many memorable moments. "We enjoyed our stay at this property. The pool is large and perfect for a family, with a great BBQ and seating area. The view from the upstairs windows is stunning and it would be great if the overgrown plants were cut back so you could have this view from the pool.The kitchen is large and has everything you need. There were just a few little things that could be improved, like a wardrobe or chest of drawers for clothes in the upstairs bedroom and the shower screens and windows haven’t been cleaned in a while. Overall, we had a good time away and will definitely visit Airlie Beach again."

"Food was great could do with the ability to rent a small boat to see more around the island. Unfortunately for us had a super soft bed. A shame properties don’t tell you the types of beds they have. "
