"An Oasis. The best hotel in town. A little far from the ruins but if you are not going to a sunrise experience, would be better to stay in this hotel. "

"This property is in the park and so you can get to the entrance by 6am when they open. The grounds are lovely as you are in the tropical forest. The first night we were there we heard howler monkeys close by and saw a Toucan (wild) and many birds. The hotel is supposedly run entirely on solar power, although that’s not something I could verify. But kudos to them. The room was very spacious for my son and I and so was the bathroom. The second night a troop of spider monkeys went by. What more can you ask for? There’s no air conditioning and you can’t use hairdryers due to the energy consumption, but I don’t use a hair dryer anyway and there’s an overhead fan and they will bring you a second one if you ask, which we did, because it was a particularly hot week. We were comfortable. The hotel’s restaurant will take cards, but the other one close by will not. Bring quetzales! You need cash for certain things simply because you are in the park and there’s no ATM around. The staff were all friendly and professional. It’s a beautiful setting. I would definitely return here in a heartbeat! "

"Great property. Must stay if you are visiting Tikal. The only issue is that there is no a/c in the rooms (it's Guatemala, not the US) and it gets HOT at night. "

"So fun to stay so close to Tikal- you need to buy your entrance tickets before you arrive. Its a very simple walk to the park entrance. The bunglaow was adorable. It was very hot, a bit hard to sleep but worth it for the experience "

My daughters (8 and 10) ranked it in their top 3 hotels they have visited because they had so much fun, especially in the lake and pool. Very recommended."

"I paid $314 for 2 night during Easter (high season). It was definitely not worth the amount. The hotel is old and looks like it hasn’t been remodeled in decades. The staff was very nice. Be careful how much you pay for this place. "
