"The room was nice, but could use some cleaning in the corners. The staff was excellent. The was okay, a bit soft. It was hard to sit on the sides because it sank down. But overall, I would stay here again."

"Love this hotel. Easy location with lots of walkable restaurants. Coffee in lobby is great, Rooms are spacious and the state cookie at check in is such a nice touch."

"Overall the property is clean and well maintained. Rooms are well appointed and clean. But we couldn’t get any sleep because of all the noise that refrigerator and air conditioner made. Every hour or so the ice maker would pull water loudly and then make and drop ice. We didn’t get any sleep because of that."

"El Vado was an absolute joy to stay in! We love the location on Route 66, the adobe style room, the super friendly & accommodating staff, the nostalgia, the nearby restaurants, the bar and the beautiful outdoor sitting area. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return."

"Comfortable and remarkably quiet, especially given the location right on Route 66. Helpful staff and nice facilities. The only issue was parking - there are not enough spaces available for every guest to park a car, which is most unusual at a motel. We had to park in the nearby neighborhood one night, and there isn't a lot of space there either. Otherwise, great experience, we would return!"

"The room was clean and the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful. We had requested an extra stay before and after our Expedia reservation and therefore asked to keep the same room but somehow even after being assured it would be so over the phone, we were asked to move to a different room after the first night’s stay. The parking situation was tight. The food was good and the location was near other places to eat. Overall we liked it. We would have enjoyed it more if it had better parking...

"Great place to stay but the parking was a disaster. The map was difficult to read and staff didn’t notify us that a street was closed to get to the only parking lot that wasn’t full. Would pay extra if they offered valet just cause the different parking garages are very confusing."

"The room stinks, front desk is unfriendly."

"There was no pool or fitness. You could, however go to a gym across the street. There was no vending available either. You had to buy bottles of water at $6 each. Overall I was disappointed with that part of the experience. The best part of the property was the on-site restaurant, Char. The food and service were great."

"excellent value and location"

"Staff were friendly and helpful. The building is fairly old but it was worth the price, especially given the location."

"For the price I was expecting a little better accommodations. The pillows are completely flat. Need two or more for comfort. Place could use touch up on paint in bathroom. Door and walls are dirty. Toilet seat not stable. Staff are kind and helpful when you need amenities but they should invest in body wash. Soap they provide leaves skin very dry."

"Wonderful hosts Darlene and Phil made our stay very pleasant. From giving us chairs and blankets to keep us warm during the Hot air balloon Fiesta to sweet desserts at night. Clean, quiet, nice ambiance, private porch, beautiful rose garden We have the best memories staying here Thank you!"
