Really liked the retro look! The staff was very friendly! The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable! Liked the fact it was lower to the floor so easy to get in and out of! If we are ever in the area and need a place to stay we will certainly stay here again!

Great place right off of Route 66, very clean and had a pretty comfy bed. Loved the retro mini fridge which had a separate small freezer. Had food options onsite and close by which made it get convenient for dinner. Great stay overall!

This is my fifth or sixth stay here and it was just as good as the very first time. Clean rooms and a very helpful front desk person who was pleasant and welcoming. I wish Vegan Vato was still in the food court, but the hotel itself is just great.

This is probably the best place I've ever stayed at on Central. Wayyy better than all of the chain hotels. Staff was incredibly friendly. The room was excellent. The only nitpick I have, is that there was alot of hair in the shower. But no big deal at all.

I used to party and trash the rooms there in the past, and i was worried when i parked but my stay was amazing, quiet, enough parking, pool looked nice ( i didn't get in ) . the only issue i had was that the hotel bar was only open for a few hours and closed early.

Great location, near the university and a reasonable walk to Nob Hill. Staff was outstanding. A converted "old school" hotel on Central has charming updated, cleverly decorated rooms. Still has a few Central Avenue characters walking around the motel and immediate environs.

The Imperial had all I needed. Clean, conveniently located to Amtrak station, onsite restaurant, bar, pool and delish complimentary coffee in the lobby. The staff were accommodating, friendly and allowed me check my luggage in early while awaiting our room. Beds are comfy, rooms have all needed amenities. Early morning is a little loud as guests leave the parking lot for the day, other than that, near perfect stay.

Just a few blocks from downtown, and while it's a motel, it's clean, retro decor, and it has some of the most friendly and helpful staff. For the price and the location, it cannot be beat

The hotel and room were definitely clean. We stayed one night, and I had to rate the helpfulness and amenities low because our TV remote didn't work. The TV was able to turn on after figuring out it was unplugged, but we couldn't navigate the TV with the remote. We went to the front desk to ask if we could get new batteries. She said, "If the red button is blinking, it doesn't need new batteries." So, we just watched some t.v. on our phones and laptop for a bit and went out downtown. The next morning, I plugged in the blow-dryer, and it shorted the room. I barely found an outlet that was hidden behind the fridge to use to quickly blow-dry my hair.

The Imperial is a fully renovated classic motel. The outside has the retro vibe. Rooms are clean and have little retro touches but all the decor is modern and new. Beds and pillows are super comfortable. The ac is weak and would not stay on. I need it for white noise. The bar on the property is great. There is food in a food court like setup. The Thai was extremely disappointing. It was expensive and I got violently ill. It was the only option available when we arrived. Parking is convenient though after 9pm it’s pretty packed. I’d stay again but definitely skip the Thai.
