"Rooms were clean but very dated. Amenities were minimal but sufficient for 1 night. My room had an interconnecting door to another room. This has never been a problem for me before, but the sound proofing in my room was so poor, that it sounded like the 3 girls in the next room who were chatting at a perfectly normal volume at 2am, were sitting on my bed. The cooked breakfast was edible but not great quality. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. All members of staff we encountered...

"The room was lovely, and the staff were great. When we arrived, two beautiful dogs were waiting at the hotel door. It was therapeutic after a long day of travelling overseas. The hotel is beautiful, and I especially enjoyed having a drink or two at Tupper's Bar. Will be staying here again the next time I'm in Kilkenny."

"Lovely stay at lord Beganals. The property is fabulous tastefully decorated and beautiful fresh flowers in the lobby. Staff are very friendly special mention to Karen and Kay breakfast team !! Food in restaurant also delicious and freshly prepared very efficient even though it was very busy Sleepy little village with lovely walk along the river If you want to make this place even more special consider adding a spa or pool. No matter we’ll be back 💚"
