"An excellent stay. The Pembroke Hotel is a lovely hotel offering very good value for money. Fantastic, central location. The vast majority of the staff are excellent, if I was being picky I think the bar staff could either do with a more experienced manager, or more training. We intended to have dinner in the restaurant last night and despite being given menus, the staff didn’t think to tell us that the kitchen closed at 8pm - we missed dinner which was disappointing! We were sat there having a glass of wine, intending to order when we were ready. The rooms are big, well equipped and very comfortable. I would like to have had an extra aid to get out of the shower which is over a bath. I had to hold on to the towel rail for safety - I don’t think it is intended for that purpose. We would definitely return to The Pembroke."

"Having a bar/restaurant on-site was very helpful. Parking was free and convenient. Only downfall is that the TV didn't work well at all and the location was a bit away from city centre, but that wasn't a huge priority for me. Breakfast was delicious"

"Staff were very helpful, our room was clean, the double bed however had broken springs right across the bed the problem was reported and the mattress was turned which was slightly better. Our stay was really lovely."

"The check-in was very smooth. The staff member showed us through the property including the smoking area, public washrooms, the breakfast area and our room. It’s upstairs from a pub so we needed all that information to find the amenities. He showed us where to park the car for the night. A full Irish breakfast was included and it was wonderful. The food aitress who served us was lovely. We booked this at the last minute when our other accommodation fell through. We all had a good sleep. Five stars. "

"The hotel grounds are huge and perfect for exploring. There are bikes outside the courtyard you can use for free. Hunters yard is a more modern stay and the manor is more classic. Pool is lovely with loungers to relax on. "
