"A beautifully maintained property, room very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Charming and elegant owners, justifiably proud of there home and business. A petting 'zoo' of lovely birds and animals is included in their land. Dogs were welcomed and good safe walking is immediately outside the gate. Lovely breakfast included. Nearby town did not have much to offer but we ate well there."

"Don't get me wrong, the hotel amenities are really nice and breakfast is okay, but both our rooms were right on top of the cafe and while the cafe was open (until around 12am) and as soon as the employees started coming in at around 5.30am there was no sleeping. I mentioned this at the reception and they didn't seem surprised or chocked about the fact that we didn't sleep well at all. Very disappointing."
"Only stayed for one night and hotel worked well for what we needed. The light from the AC/thermostat panel is quite bright and could be disturbing to some people. It defeats the purpose of black out blinds. Otherwise the room was comfortable and the hotel is well located. The parking is convenient and easy to access."

"We have just returned from a wonderful two-week stay at Martin’s villa, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt instantly relaxed and at home. The villa is spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a perfect holiday.The outdoor space is fantastic – the pool is a real highlight and provided endless fun and relaxation throughout our stay. There are plenty of areas to sit and unwind, whether you’re enjoying a morning coffee, a family meal, or an evening drink watching the sunset.Inside, the villa is spacious, rustic, and extremely comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook at home, and the living spaces are ideal for both relaxing and spending time together as a family. The bedrooms are very comfortable, with plenty of storage, and everyone slept really well.The location is excellent too – peaceful and private, yet only a short drive from local shops, restaurants. It gave us the best of both worlds: total relaxation and easy access to explore the surrounding area.Most importantly, Martin was a wonderful host. Communication was excellent from the moment we booked, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. We left with amazing memories and have already booked for 3 weeks next year!"

"Negatives:Towels, bedding and outside furniture are dated (one leg fell off the outside table every time it was moved). The shower curtain needs replacing. Pans, crockery and cutlery need a good clean (we cleaned sufficient for our needs and left those items clean). With a few small updates and a bit of cleaning, this would be a great place to stay.Positives:Marten is a nice fellow and quick with his communication replies and lives close by. The location is great if you want peace and quiet, privacy and great views. It's about 1.5km from Garvao which has some facilities and only around 12km from Ourique with its supermarkets and greater choice of restaurants and bars.The ceiling fan was a bonus in the scorching weather we had.The pool is good for a proper swim (it's about 10m long).Good wifi signal and mobile phone reception.Advisory.The villa is accessible via rough, stony and dusty tracks. We found access a little easier from the southern side of Garvao."
