Built in 1868 and Sitting on Fort Hill in Eastham is the Captain Edward Penniman House and Barn. Captain Penniman was one of the most successful whaling captains in New England. This is a short #TroverDetour off the main road. There is a friendly and knowledgeable tour for anyone interested in history of cape cod. Notice the Whale Jawbone entrance that will send your Green Peace friends into a state of nervous excitement or agitation... otherwise referred to as a "TIZZY" ! Off of 6A take a right onto Governor Prence Rd. and then a right onto Fort Hill Road. Parking is on the left just past the house. #TroverDetour
