"A four-star boutique hotel with the standards of a five-star property. The rooms and restaurant are definitely five-star quality. The pool is large and never too crowded, and there is also a small beach if you want to swim in the lake. Just bear in mind that the hotel is not easy to reach. You either need to drive your own car or arrange a car service. For example, the fare from the hotel to Milan is €240. Local buses are very crowded and can be almost impossible to board."

"We really enjoyed our stay in the beautiful location of Lake Como. Nesso is situated 35 mins drive North of Como itself and so easily accessible by bus or car. We preferred the regular air conditioned buses as the narrow roads often meant cars negotiating around one another and the mopeds to gain safe passage. The bus drivers were expert at this and despite occasionally being full to overflowing, they were the easiest way to get around and quite cheaply too. Como has many delights and there are excellent meal places all around the lake. In terms of breath-taking scenery I don't think this place could be beaten and we enjoyed breakfast on our balcony each day just taking in the majesty of the Lake. The property is a little dated as mentioned in some reviews but there are useful notes left by the owner and we were a very comfortable family of four there. Fans operate in the bedrooms which are essential but with windows open and blinds down the heat of the day can be alleviated. At times it would still have been nice to have AC.The host communicate dwell how to find the property and Diego is a relative nearby who could not do enough to help us settle in at the start. AT the end of our days in the delightfully hot summer we enjoyed being out of the bustle of Como and in our quiet retreat where we could experience rest and relaxation. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here."

"This is a beautiful home with everything you need and more along with the most incredible views. Brienno is such a welcoming place and we will definitely be returning. The hosts were the best we've ever had for communicating information before and during our stay. Would recommend 100% There is nothing to fault with this property as even the steep stairs help you to work off the gelato and vino!!"

"PIECE OF HEAVEN!! My partner and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay at this beautiful villa! The host was so kind and welcoming, and also speaks English in case visitors do not speak Italian. The villa itself was built decades ago, so you get the beautiful historic feeling of the villa. But the bathrooms and shower are all updated and modernized. The complimentary breakfast was delicious! The villa is situated right in front of Lake Como, so you get the best view of the lake! Our room came with a balcony where we sat and enjoyed the lake view. The property was so well kept and organized! We did have to share a shower with another guest, but honestly it was not inconvenient at all as we barely saw the other guest. The area itself is quiet and family friendly. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT!!"
