"The Elkwater Lake Lodge is in a great location and generally speaking, a very nice place to stay. In fact, this was our second stay at the Lodge. However, there does seems to be some wear and tear on the property where upgrades are required. Concrete steps are crumbling away, fenced areas needs paint, the pool is out of use right now, as is the restaurant. The sink in our room was backed up and the toilet didn't flush very well, concerns we raised at the front desk when we left. In fairness, it's still early in the year and perhaps these items will be addressed in the coming weeks. Overall, though, a nice place that we would most likely choose again."

"We had an excellent stay! The kitchen was FULLY equipped and had extras we didn't expect like condiments in the refrigerator, cooking oil, hot chocolate ... Thank you! There were plenty of linens for the kitchen and the bathroom. Everything was clean. The bed was comfortable. There was lots of firewood outside which we enjoyed. The first night was clear and perfect for stargazing! This is a lovely home away from home. We plan to return whenever we are in the area! "

"A spotless cabin, peaceful scenery, cozy homey feel, warm, pet-friendly, and spacous for 11 photographers. Great spot for astro photography as we caught the Milky Way and lots of stars away from light pollution. A welcoming home. Tara, the host seemed to take good care and put lots of thought into building the ambience of the home. A little late in providing check-in instructions which was provided the day before but that may be due to Vrbo's app glitching. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot! :)"
