The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The walls are thin, but luckily it quieted down early the night I was there so I slept great. I didn’t get to relax in the jacuzzi (which is why I booked) because there were loud kids enjoying the pool, which is no fault of the hotel’s. I liked that I had a quiet A/C unit and mini refrigerator. They can be loud and annoying in some places.

Our TV didn’t work the first night. The carpets were consistently damp. We were told the property was service animals only but we had the pleasure of hearing dogs barking at all hours. We were also advised of construction just 2 days before our trip, noise to start at 830, however most days it started before 8. The beds were incredibly hard and uncomfortable. The staff was very kind and mostly available but didn’t seem bothered by the dogs or noise. Hopefully the upgrades are effective as this area is quiet as far as road and foot traffic while being in a great convenient location.

I stay here every couple months to visit family. A bit frustrated with booking inconsistencies. Last visit they said there would be a parking fee if reserved through Expedia. They have removed this due to complaints. Anyway, I call the number on there website twice trying to get front desk to reserve and avoid parking fee. Got a reservations service only. Going directly through them they added 3 times the taxes and fees as Expedia Expedia was a lot cheaper than going direct. Normally direct hotel reservations are the same price or less because they don't have to pay a fee to Expedia. So WTH!!

Everything is automated from the check in to the turn down service request to check out. The bedroom needs an extra mirror. My room was a queen and we only had a mirror in the bathroom. Plenty of parking and everything was clean

The Stargazer was such a pleasant surprise! The rooms were clean and comfortable. When we checked in we noticed that one of the beds in our room was broken. The hotel staff took care of the problem as quickly as they could. The coffee machine in the lobby was such a treat. So many choices and the coffee was great! We will definitely return to the Stagazer next the next time we are in Monterey!
