"One problem was with the key code changing without notice. Luckily someone was in reception to sort it out. A fair price for the area. I would not pay more. As the hotel is undergoing renovation, there was no facilities for having breakfast or a beer. At least there is a McD's opposite. Parking was around £9 for the night."

"Booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child , only 1 bed in the room , was told people normally bring their own bed for a child , eventually they brought a fold up bed !! Cooked breakfast awful on 2 occasions , no aircon so rooms very warm , some staff excellent ,sadly some awful attitude"

"We enjoyed our overnight stay at the weathervane. It was very good value for the money it cost. We had the breakfast included option and we're glad we did. The staff were very helpful indeed. We decided to have our evening meal there as well. We both really enjoyed the food which was cooked perfectly and the prices were very much cheaper than we pay in Essex."
